Sometimes the best branding opportunities are sitting right in front of you — literally.
HGX recently completed a set of custom door graphics for Wilson Schools, creating distinctive entrances for the school’s Vo-Ag and Welding & Fabrication programs. The goal was simple: take standard exterior doors and turn them into bold, recognizable pieces of campus branding.
The Vo-Ag entrance uses Wilson’s black-and-gold color palette with large vertical lettering that makes the department easy to identify at a glance. The Welding & Fabrication door takes a different approach, featuring a detailed welder illustration, strong typography, and the same school colors for a look that feels rugged, professional, and perfectly suited to the program.
What makes projects like this work so well is that they add personality without requiring a major renovation. A door that might otherwise disappear into the side of a building becomes a focal point and a source of school pride.
School Graphics That Do More Than Decorate
Custom school graphics can help identify departments, improve wayfinding, reinforce school branding, and give students a stronger sense of ownership in the spaces they use every day.
Door graphics are especially versatile because they can be designed around the exact program, team, department, or activity behind the entrance. Agriculture programs, athletics, fine arts, STEM classrooms, shops, and other specialized areas can all have their own visual identity while still staying consistent with the school’s overall brand.
For Wilson Schools, these Vo-Ag and Welding & Fabrication entrances now feel intentional before anyone even walks through the door.
